Q&A

THINGS TO DO

If it is your first time in Bilbao and you are interested in art, history, or outdoor activities we have compiled a list of our favourite ones here to consider during your stay:

WINING & DINING

(“the Bilbao way”)

Attention Foodies!

While there is an intense Greek-Basque competition between us when it comes to traditions, the one thing we settled the score at is culinary experience. To Faidon’s initial disbelief (!), Basque country does indeed have the world’s highest concentration of Michelin-star restaurants, so definitely worth a try while you are in Bilbao. For more casual dining, we have put down below some of our favourites in the city.

While here you should also try pintxos (Basque tapas) together with a glass of txakoli (local wine) or Basque Cider. A popular way to experience pintxos, think of it as “pintxos hopping”, is to try multiple bars in one setting and order the most famous pintxos in each place. You will find a few bar names accompanied with the most famous pintxos below.
