Terms and Conditions.

These terms and conditions apply to all stationery orders placed with Jade Marie Atelier. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.

1. Pricing and Payment:

Pricing: All prices quoted are in GBP

Payment Schedule:

Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the total quoted price is required upon approval of the quote, unless otherwise agreed. This deposit secures your order and initiates the design process. Payment is due within 7 days of receiving the invoice, and once you’ve paid it’s not refundable.

Subsequent Payments: 50% of the quoted price is required before any design work is started and the remainder of the total quoted price is due prior to product delivery. Once full payment is received, printing production will proceed.

Any payment plans need to be agreed upon at the deposit stage.

Payment Methods: We accept national and international bank transfer. Details for payment will be provided upon approval of the quote.

Currency Conversion: For international orders, the client is responsible for any currency conversion fees or charges that may apply from their bank.

Order Modifications: Any requested modifications or additional services requested after quote approval may result in adjusted pricing. These adjustments will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding with the changes.

2. Turnaround Times

The standard turnaround time is approximately 4–8 weeks from the main consultation. This timeframe depends on receiving all necessary details and approvals in a timely manner. Delays may occur if clients:

  • Respond to emails or requests later than agreed.

  • Miss deadlines for submitting wording, guest lists, or other required information (e.g., for envelope printing or name tags).

  • Have not finalised timelines or other details with their venue or wedding planner.

Deadlines will be clearly communicated at the start of the process. Should there be any changes during the project, these deadlines will be updated as necessary.

3. Client Responsibilities Regarding Timings

We understand that wedding planning can be a busy time, and we want to work around your schedule as best as we can. However, to keep the design process running smoothly, we do ask that clients carve out time to review proofs, confirm details, and finalise wording promptly.

Ideally, we aim for responses within 48 hours (24 hours where possible) so that we can stay on track with your timeline. Delays in feedback can push back production, and we want to ensure everything is ready in plenty of time.

We’re here to make the process as easy and stress-free as possible, so please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help or accommodate your schedule!

4. Revisions:

Once the proofing stage has been reached, two rounds of revisions are included in the quoted price. Any additional revisions beyond this will incur a fee of £50 per round.

This does not include the design stage. Before the proofing stage, there will be extensive back-and-forth communication between Jade Marie Atelier and the client, allowing full visibility of and input into the design process. This ensures that any changes to drawn elements or design ideas are addressed prior to the proofs being created.

Revisions apply solely to the proofing stage when the full artwork and wording are ready for review. It will be clearly communicated when we have reached the proofing stage.

5. Proofing:

It is the client’s responsibility to carefully review all proofs provided. By approving a proof, the client accepts full responsibility for the accuracy of all content, including but not limited to spelling, grammar, dates, names, and design elements. Any errors identified after final approval will require additional costs for corrections and reprinting. Jade Marie Atelier is not liable for any errors once the proof has been approved.

6. Production & Printing

All stationery is hand-finished, and as such, minor variations in colour and materials are to be expected. Colours viewed on a digital screen may not exactly match the printed items. Variations are a natural part of the handmade process and should be embraced as part of the charm of bespoke wedding stationery.

7. Delivery & Shipping

UK orders are sent via guaranteed next-day special delivery. International orders are couriered, with delivery times depending on the destination.

Shipping costs are covered by Jade Marie Atelier, and all parcels are fully insured. Should anything be delayed, lost, or damaged in transit, your order will be redone and sent out as quickly as possible. Please note, however, that this may cause a delay in receiving your items.

8. Rush Orders

Rush orders are considered any orders that require completion in under 4 weeks (or 3 weeks for save-the-dates). These will incur a rush fee, which depends on the scale of the project and will typically range between £100–£400. Rush fees will be confirmed at the time of quoting.

Please note that rush orders may not always be accommodated due to the nature of bespoke designs and the time required for production. If a rush order is not feasible, I will always communicate this as early as possible.

9. Use of Designs for Marketing

Jade Marie Atelier reserves the right to use completed designs, photographs, or digital copies for portfolio purposes or on social media.

Clients can opt out of this, but they must communicate their preference at the quote stage. Please note that sensitive information such as dates will always be blurred or removed as standard.

10. Ownership Rights:

We take pride in creating bespoke stationery that reflects your unique vision and wedding day. To ensure transparency and clarity regarding ownership rights, the following guidelines apply:

Artwork Ownership:

  • Upon completion of the project and receipt of full payment, the client will own the final stationery design created specifically for their event. However, Jade Marie Atelier retains the ownership rights of all original artwork created during the project.

  • Jade Marie Atelier retains the rights to showcase the artwork in our portfolio, website, social media, and other marketing materials as examples of our work, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Reproduction and Distribution:

  • The client may reproduce and distribute the final stationery artwork solely for personal use related to their wedding or event.

  • Commercial use, reproduction, distribution, or reselling of the artwork without written permission from Jade Marie Atelier is strictly prohibited.

Design Elements and Concepts:

  • Any design elements, concepts, or ideas provided by Jade Marie Atelier during the consultation or design process remain the intellectual property of Jade Marie Atelier.

  • Specific pieces of artwork, design elements or concepts may be used by Jade Marie Atelier in future projects unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

By engaging Jade Marie Atelier's services, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the terms and conditions outlined in these ownership rights.

11. Cancellation Policy

We understand that circumstances may change, and we strive to accommodate our clients to the best of our abilities. However, please note that cancellations may have an impact on our resources and schedule. The following cancellation policy applies:

Cancellation prior to design approval:

  • If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of placing an order, a full refund will be issued.

  • If a cancellation is made after 48 hours of placing an order, a non-refundable deposit will be retained to cover initial design and administrative costs.

Cancellation after design approval:

  • If a cancellation is made after design approval, the non-refundable deposit will be retained. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after design approval.

Termination due to exceptional circumstances:

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances, force majeure, or any other situation beyond our control that necessitates the termination of the project, we will work with you to find a fair and reasonable solution, including possible refunds on a case-by-case basis.
