Terms and Conditions.
These terms and conditions apply to all stationery orders placed with Jade Marie Atelier. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.
1. Pricing and Payment
All prices quoted are in GBP.
Payment Schedule:
Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the total quoted price is required upon approval of the quote, unless otherwise agreed. This secures your order and initiates the design process. The deposit is due within 7 days of receiving the invoice and is non-refundable once paid.
Remaining Balance: The remaining balance is due before any design work begins. Printing and production will not proceed until full payment has been received.
Payment Plans: Any alternative payment plans must be agreed upon at the deposit stage.
Payment Methods: Payment can be made via national or international bank transfer. Payment details will be provided upon quote approval.
Currency Conversion: For international orders, clients are responsible for any currency conversion fees or charges applied by their bank.
Order Modifications: Any changes or additional services requested after quote approval may result in revised pricing. Adjustments will be communicated and agreed upon before proceeding.
2. Turnaround Times
The standard turnaround time for invitations is approximately 6–8 weeks from the main consultation. This time frame depends on receiving all necessary details and approvals in a timely manner. Delays may occur if clients:
Respond to emails or requests later than agreed.
Miss deadlines for submitting wording, guest lists, or other required information.
Have not finalised timelines or other details with their venue or wedding planner.
Deadlines will be clearly communicated at the start of the process. Should there be any changes during the project, these deadlines will be updated as necessary.
3. Client Responsibilities Regarding Timings
I understand how busy wedding planning can be, and I’ll always do my best to work around your schedule. However, to keep everything on track, I ask that you review proofs, confirm details, and finalise wording promptly.
Ideally, please aim to respond within 48 hours (or 24 hours, where possible). Delays in feedback may push back production and delivery timelines.
I’m here to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible, so just let me know if you need extra support.
4. Revisions:
Two rounds of revisions are included in the quoted price once the proofing stage has been reached. Additional revision rounds will incur a fee of £50 per round.
Please note: this does not include revisions during the initial design phase, where collaborative feedback is encouraged. The proofing stage is when the full design and wording are ready for final review - this will be clearly communicated when we reach that point.
5. Proofing:
It is the client’s responsibility to carefully review all proofs provided. By approving a proof, the client accepts full responsibility for the accuracy of all content, including spelling, grammar, names, dates, and layout.
Any errors identified after approval will incur additional costs for correction and reprinting. Jade Marie Atelier is not liable for any mistakes found post-approval.
6. Production & Printing
All stationery is hand-finished. Minor variations in colour, texture, or material are part of the handmade process and are to be expected. Please note that colours viewed on screen may not match the final printed product exactly due to screen calibration and print method.
7. Delivery & Shipping
UK orders are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery (guaranteed by 1pm next day).
International orders are couriered, and delivery times vary by destination.
All parcels are fully insured. If your order is delayed, lost, or damaged in transit, it will be reprinted and re-sent at no cost. Please note this may cause a delay.
8. Customs Charges (for International Orders)
Clients are responsible for checking and paying any customs charges, taxes, or import duties that may apply in their country. These fees are not included in your order cost and must be paid by the recipient upon delivery.
If customs fees are due, you will usually be contacted directly by your country’s customs department before your parcel is released. Jade Marie Atelier is not liable for any delays caused by unpaid customs charges or import processing.
Please check your local import regulations before placing your order, as we are unable to cover or reimburse these fees.
9. Rush Orders
Any project requiring completion in under 4 weeks (or under 3 weeks for save the dates) is classed as a rush order.
Rush fees can range between £100–£800, depending on the scope and urgency, and will be confirmed at the quoting stage. Rush orders are subject to availability and may not always be possible due to the nature of bespoke design work.
10. Use of Designs for Marketing
Jade Marie Atelier reserves the right to share completed designs, including photographs or digital versions, on website, portfolio, and social media platforms.
If you’d prefer your stationery not be shared, please let me know at the quote stage. Personal information such as dates and addresses will always be blurred or removed as standard.
11. Ownership Rights:
I take pride in creating stationery that’s one-of-a-kind. Here’s how ownership and usage rights are handled:
Client Use:
Once the project is complete and fully paid, you may use the final stationery design for personal use only (e.g. printing, sharing with guests).
Artwork Ownership:
Jade Marie Atelier retains the copyright and full ownership of all original artwork created as part of your design. This includes illustrations, concepts, and layout elements.
I may reuse certain illustrated elements or design concepts in future projects unless a written agreement states otherwise.
Restrictions:
Commercial use, resale, or reproduction of any artwork is not permitted without written permission.
You may not modify or adapt the designs for future use without consent.
12. Cancellation Policy
I understand that plans can change. My cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellations within 48 hours of booking:
A full refund will be issued.
Cancellations after 48 hours but before design approval:
The deposit is non-refundable, to cover all artwork and design, admin and planning time up to that point.
Cancellations after design approval:
No refunds will be issued, as significant time and creative work will have been invested.
Exceptional circumstances:
In cases of force majeure or unforeseen events beyond your control, I will discuss fair solutions on a case-by-case basis.
12. Privacy Policy
